We source our seed potatoes from Skea Organics in Auchterhouse, near Dundee. Scotland is a traditional producer of seed potatoes because the cooler summer temperatures are not favourable for aphids which transmit viruses. In addition many of the seed crops are grown at altitudes up to 200m above sea level - again cooler and less prone to aphid-spread disease. The seed potatoes are grown in rotations of no less than 7 years with often 10 or 12 year between potato crops. This helps to minimize the soil-borne diseases.

We have selected varieties we have grown ourselves and/or those that done well in independent NIAB trials. They will be dispatched from February to May, or until stock runs out.

All varieties available in 1kg

  • A 1kg net contains about 13 tubers - enough for about 4 square metres (5 square yards)
