Garlic 'Messidrome' (Organic)

French white skinned variety with pink cloves for autumn planting.

Most commercially grown garlic is of the softneck type. This means that it does not produce a flowering stalk. Softnecks tend to have more, but smaller, cloves and a longer shelf-life than the hardnecks. This variety ('Messidrome' ) is a softneck type of garlic.

Approximately 8 -10 cloves per bulb (price for a single bulb).

Thin-stems, with fairly thick, smoothish leaves; up to 15 inches (38cm) height and spread; start picking when the leaves are about 3 inches (7.5cm) long.

Texel Greens
According to Joy Larkcom, Texel (or Texsel) greens were developed from an Ethiopian mustard. The leaves are glossy with a brassica flavour and rich in vitamin C.

Land Cress
Flavour is very similar to watercress, though the leaves are coarser. Remains green all winter.
Similar in habit to water cress but does not require much water.Tasty addition to winter salads.
